I grew up hunting in Southern Illinois Hunting Waterfowl, Deer, and Turkeys. I became obsessed with hunting, calling, and learning tips to better my hunting success. I was able to become a championship goose caller with the help of master outdoorsman like Tim and Hunter Grounds as well as my stepdad Tyson Shoot. I started guiding hunts when I was 16 years old and haven’t slowed down since. The majority of my time is spent hunting with friends and family. I started GETM Waterfowl to provide outdoorsman both beginners and expert a chance to hunt Illinois and Arkansas Premiere Waterfowl Hunting Locations. Making sure my hunters have the best possible chances for a successful hunt is my top priority.

Born and Raised in Southern Illinois I have spent the majority of my life in the outdoors. I have a passion for hunting and fishing but most importantly I like to see new outdoorsman enjoying themselves while learning new skills. When I’m not hunting or working I enjoy spending time with friends and family. 

I grew up in Ipava, IL. I was raised in a hunting family. We mainly hunted deer, turkey, and small game but every once in a while we would hunt waterfowl. I would always go with my dad until I started hunting on my own at my grandpa’s farm when I was 11. I moved to Southern Illinois in December of 2015 and I’ve been taking advantage of all the public hunting sites since. I started hunting waterfowl with Travis and Gabe in 2020.

Chris is a Southern Illinois outdoorsman born and raised.  He's an avid outdoors conservationist with the love for all types of hunting. Chris started in the woods chasing whitetail at the age of 6 but was introduced to waterfowl hunting at age 12 and has since traveled the United States chasing them. You can be assured Chris is very professional with a safety first attitude and will do his best to ensure your success in the blind.

Raised in Southern Illinois being an outdoorsman is in my bloodline. I began hunting at an early age with my grandfather, but my waterfowl obsession came during my first youth hunt after harvesting a Drake green wing and wood duck, as well as a mallard hen. I began to chase waterfowl all over public and private land. In the late 90’s I began to hunt at local Canada goose clubs.There I was mentored by several great outdoorsmen and championship callers/guides. At sixteen I began guiding and made multiple friendships throughout these opportunities. I’m always glad to see youth in the blind and do my best to ensure that they have a memorable time.
